Luxworth Teak Folding Shower Seat

This specific hardwood is chosen for its high oil content, which acts as a natural barrier against water, moisture, and rot, ensuring the seat remains a permanent fixture in wet environments. The design features a smooth folding mechanism, allowing the unit to be stowed flat against the wall to maximise available space when not in use.
Engineering and safety are central to the construction. The seat is built using slatted teak for efficient water drainage and is supported by #304 stainless steel brackets to prevent corrosion. With a load capacity of 150kg (approximately 23 stone), the structure relies on a six-hole mounting system for total stability. All edges are rounded and sanded to provide a comfortable, snag-free surface.
For secure installation, this seat must be mounted to a solid wall structure. Suitable surfaces include brick, concrete, or internal stud walls with reinforced wood blocking. This ensures the 150kg weight rating is maintained and provides a reliable seating solution for any modern shower or wet room.
