VAT Relief for Disabled and Chronically Sick Customers

If you're chronically sick or disabled, UK law lets you buy specific Luxworth products at 0% VAT instead of the standard 20%. That's a fifth off the price, taken off automatically at checkout - no forms to post, no certificates to chase, no waiting for approval.

Do you qualify?

Three things need to be true:

  • You (or the person you're buying for) have a long-term physical or mental condition that substantially affects everyday life, or a terminal illness.
  • The product is for personal or domestic use, not for a business, care home, or institution.
  • The product itself is one we've marked as eligible - look for the "0% VAT Eligible" badge on the product page.

Worth knowing: general frailty that comes with age, or a short-term injury like a broken bone, doesn't qualify on its own under HMRC's rules. The condition needs to be long-term and substantial.

How to claim it

  1. Add an eligible product to your basket. Every qualifying item is marked clearly on its product page.
  2. Tick the VAT relief box at checkout. Enter the name and condition of the person the product is for - it takes about thirty seconds.
  3. We deduct the VAT there and then. You pay the reduced price. Nothing to post, nothing to wait on.
